1st of December – Understanding yourself as a leader
1st of December – Understanding yourself as a leader
Why is it important to understand yourself as a leader? We believe that to become a great leader it is essential to start by holding a mirror up to yourself, to become your own observer and to begin to understand your behavioural preferences. This is the first step towards further strengthening and developing your flexibility in personal behaviour and communication.
To summarise, there are four key benefits to completing a working styles questionnaire:
- UNDERSTANDING SELF – how you are seen by others, your strengths and areas for development
- UNDERSTANDING OTHERS – recognise the behavioural styles and communication preferences of others
- ADAPTING TO OTHERS – adapt your behaviours to meet the needs of others, communicating in a way in which they prefer and will respond to
- DEVELOPING INTERPERSONAL STRATEGIES – explore ways in which you might deal with ‘challenging’ people
