19th of December – Delivering inclusivity

As human beings we are fundamentally social creatures, and feeling included is a key part of that experience.  Research has repeatedly shown that when people feel excluded this has a direct and negative impact on their levels of motivation, self-esteem, performance and even their mental health.  And these principles apply equally in the workplace as they do in wider society.

Inclusion has always been a challenge, and the onset of Covid-19 in 2020 has made this even trickier, with more people working virtually from home rather than in offices and workplaces.  This has required leaders and organisations to work harder to find new ways to deliver inclusivity within their teams and services.

As a leader, you play an absolutely key role in enabling and ensuring people feel included and are treated fairly.  In this module we will explore the impact and benefits of being inclusive in your approach, and a range of steps we can take as leaders to ensure inclusion within our teams.
